Elie Beach

The long stretches of golden sandy beaches in Elie are certainly among the best in the East Neuk, on a sunny summers day you could compare it to beaches of foreign climes.

Unfortunately there are no longer donkey rides of the days gone by but with the sun shinning and lots of sand and water the children will find plenty to keep themselves amused for hours, giving you time to sit back and relax.

For the more adventurous further along the beach towards the harbour is Elie Watersports. Offering a wide range of activities form canoeing to windsurfing and inflatable rides to water-skiing there is something for all. The curved bay gives plenty of shelter to the novices with the open sea available for the more experienced windsurfers and sailors. The equipment required for all activities can be hired if you don't have your own equipment and as a safety precaution a rescue boat is always on stand-by and a qualified first aider is always on hand.
